Zeus Juice Zodiac Oxys and Ravine Review by MIST

Earlier this year, we were lucky enough to review the Zeus Juice’s Zodiac range. The zesty, luscious flavours blew me away, so you can imagine my excitement upon learning that Zeus Juice is adding two new flavours to the range, their Double Concentrated Zodiac flavours!

Once again I’ll be loading these juices into pods to give them a long and thoughtful try, to judge whether they fit in well with the established range or if Zeus Juice’s mixologists were a little off the mark this time.

MIST's overall score for the newest Zeus Juice flavours

Review Summary: The two new Zodiac flavours from Zeus Juice are delicious, packed full of fruity flavour and bearing a natural taste that shuns the bitter edge of artificial sweeteners.

Review Disclosure: Like last time, Zeus Juice sent me sample bottles of the nic salt, 50/50, and high-VG versions of their two new juices. However, my thoughts and opinions on these e-liquids are not influenced by the brand.

Packaging and Labels

The new Double Conc Zodiac flavour packaging is similar to the previous four releases.

The 10ml nic salts come in cardboard boxes featuring the bottle art, company logo, juice name, and flavours. Beneath this, you find the TPD-compliant health warning about nicotine. The 50/50 and high-VG shortfill bottles don’t feature this warning, as they are sold without nicotine content.

The side of the nic salt bottle shows an ingredients list, batch number, and Best Before date. The bottle underneath the label is shaded darkly, which will help protect the nicotine within from sun damage.

The 50/50 and high-VG shortfill bottle imagery is identical to the nic shot bottle, only larger. The only difference other than size is nozzle design, with the shortfill nozzles featuring a small divot under one part of the rim to allow for easy removal while adding nicotine shots.

Flavour

Score: 5/5

The two new Double Conc flavours in the Zeus Juice Zodiac range are as follows:

  1. Oxys
  2. Ravine

Zeus Juice sent nic salts in 5mg, 10mg and 20mg strengths. I primarily tried the 10mg when sampling the nic salts, as this suits my personal nicotine comfort level. The shortfills have been tried without the addition of nicotine.

I found the flavour of the new Zeus Juice Zodiac units to be very intense. The Double Conc warning was undoubtedly telling the truth!

As is characteristic of Zeus Juice flavours, both e-liquids focus on vibrant fruity flavour combinations, featuring tropical, berry, citrus, and summertime fruits.

Oxys

Score: 10/10

Good GOD that was flavoursome! Oxys states that it carries the taste of ‘Sour Orange Lemon,’ and it’s not shy about it either. The citrus punch comes screaming out of the mouthpiece, tart tendrils of flavour immediately anchoring onto the tip of your tongue. The sweet lemon taste hits with almost a creamy curd note before the sunny orange flavour blossoms across your mouth and down your throat.

This is the best orange flavour vape juice I have ever tried in my LIFE.

Ravine

Score: 9/10

Jammy! Ravine contains the taste of ‘Strawberry Kiwi’, a classic pairing that seasoned vapers will likely be familiar with already. And leave it to Zeus Juice to breathe new life into a flavour I thought I knew inside and out!

The slight zest of the kiwi is the first dazzling flavour to hit your tastebuds, and once it does the juicy strawberry flavour unfurls majestically across the tongue, a playful and summery taste that exhales as a gorgeous and somewhat nostalgic aroma.

Ravine is a little less intense than Oxys, but it still definitely boasts the Double Conc mix that Zeus Juice have seen fit to premier with these two new additions.

Throat Hit

Score: 3/5

Most of the previous Zodiac flavours featured ice as a central component, but while Oxys has a touch of additional freshness added, it’s less potent than in previous Zodiac e-liquids, while Ravine has no noticeable iciness.

This results in a gentler throat it. The nic salt bottles, as is the 70VG shortfill, are characteristically smooth to inhale. The 50/50 shortfill has a slightly more pronounced kick, but it’s still relatively gentle when vaped without nicotine.

Vapour Production

Score: 4/5

As before, the high-VG shortfill is able to produce very thick and corporeal clouds thanks to the 70VG contents. The nic salt and 50/50 units, on the other hand, only produce around as much vapour as you expect to find smoke from a cigarette.

Ultimately if large clouds are either a concern or a desire of yours, only the high-VG 100ml shortfill is going to generate large quantities of vapour.

Summary

The two new Zodiac flavours from Zeus Juice are delicious, packed full of fruity flavour and bearing a natural taste that shuns the bitter edge of artificial sweeteners. Those who enjoy subtle flavours should look elsewhere because these Double Conc e-juices are explosively sweet and tangy, something fans of vibrant fruit tastes will love.

The MIST Favourite

Oxys: I won’t hesitate to call this the best orange e-liquid I have ever tried in over ten years of vaping. The use of sour flavour really brings out the citrus profile, and there’s a surprising lack of aftertaste, likely due to the small addition of cooling, cleansing ice.
