Innokin T22 Pro Reviewed
We’ll be taking a look at a returning champion, the very latest and greatest iteration in the long-celebrated Innokin Endura range of top-tier starter kits – The Innokin T22 Pro! Here’s our in-depth T22 Pro review.
After much consideration we here at MIST are proud to announce that we have awarded the Innokin T22 Pro the distinction of being MIST’s Kit of the Year! There were many, many fine contenders this time round, with the vaping industry having taken a lightspeed jump forward in terms of power-protection and accessibility options in a vast number of vapes.
However the T22 Pro is so much more than the sum of its parts. The vast yet relatively lightweight 3000mAh battery, which is rapidly charged via USB-C port, provides multiple days of consistent heavy use. Also helpful is the usually rare power master switch of the base of the unit, making pocket-firing a thing of the past.
The wattage adjustment feature is simple to use and eschews complex wattage readouts to instead provide you with four distinct tiers of power that are switched between with a quick tap of the button above the charging port..
And finally the included tank, the Innokin T18 Pro and the newly developed M18 coil system provide an unmatched depth of flavour and airflow, delivering satisfying hits with every puff. The tank is also capable of fitting the classic and widely available T18E coil series, one of which coming included as a spare.
It’s not just our opinion; our customers can attest to the incredibly user-friendly, robust design and fantastic flavour production. It’s not just the best starter kit available today, but also a solid choice for any seasoned pro looking for a new primary MTL kit that’s got enough power to last any ordeal. We don’t hesitate to say that the Innokin T22 Pro is our favourite kit on the market today, and we are certain you’ll find it perfect for all your MTL vaping needs.

Design & Build Quality – 8.8/10
The T22 Pro has undergone something of a makeover to impress the eye as much as it eases your journey away from smoking.
First in our T22 Pro review is the design and build quality. The previous T22 from Innokin, while an incredible starter kit, was never going to win any awards for aesthetics. However, the T22 Pro has undergone something of a makeover to impress the eye as much as it eases your journey away from smoking.
The previously hard edges have been smoothed out for a far more ergonomic hand feel, comfortable in the grip and far nicer in the pocket. The new appearance is far sleeker than the previous model, making it sure to catch the eye.
The front side of the mod now features a wattage level display system by way of four white LEDs, an understated yet informative display which wastes no effort or power on detailed color screens.
The unit’s base includes four rubber nodes to protect the bottom from scuffs and lower the noise made when placing the device on a hard surface. Believe me; your furnishings will thank you!
The T18 Pro tank also sees a reinvigorated approach to a classic design; the tank now features a sliding top-fill method, meaning you no longer need to juggle various parts between your hands when refilling on the go.
The drip-tip is now constructed from a non-conductive acrylic, eschewing the previous steel tip, which was far less comfortable against your lips.
On top of all this, the glass panels on the tank are now a little smaller, making it much harder for unfortunate smashes in the event of a drop.
Features & Functions – 9.3/10
Enjoy 3000mAh battery and switch between 4 distinct power settings.
The old T22 was mainly sold on its battery life, with 2000mAh being quite a lot larger than most MTL kits of its size.
The T22 Pro dramatically increases the internal battery capacity, now up to a stunning maximum of 3000mAh! That’s a frankly shocking amount of power contained within what is ostensibly a starter kit. With the relatively low wattage range, you’ll find that a fully charged battery will often last you several days.
Speaking of wattage, the T22 Pro now includes a limited but very welcome degree of power alteration. A button near the unit’s base allows you to switch between four distinct power settings – 9.5W, 11W, 12.5W, and finally 13.5W for those moments when you need a serious burst of powerful vapour satisfaction.
The unit now also features a power control switch on the base, allowing you to entirely deactivate the device rather than simply placing it on standby. This ensures you can’t accidentally switch it on in your pocket or bag and won’t find your power steadily lowering while not being used.
Coils – 8.7/10
The T18 Pro tank is still fully compatible with T18E and M18 1.7ohm coils
The T18E coil has been a real gem over the years; flavoursome, moderate in terms of vapour output, easily installed, and highly available – you will never walk into a vape shop in Europe without being able to find these coils!
And there’s no reason to dispose of any old T18E coils you’ve got on hand because the T18 Pro tank is still fully compatible with these classic coils! The device is also compatible with the Innokin M18 1.7ohm coil, previously intended solely for use with the M18 pod system. Versatility is a welcome addition to the T18 tank legacy!
Installing coils is as simple as it’s ever been with Innokin; simply unscrew the base cap, pull the old coil out and insert the new one, lining it up with the fittings on the base. Ensure that you let your fresh new coil sit in vape juice for at least 5-10 minutes before use. Otherwise, you run the risk of burning the dry cotton and ruining the coil.
How to Use
The T22 Pro is still an incredibly simple and user-friendly device, never confusing you with obtuse menus and functions.
The T22 Pro is still an incredibly simple and user-friendly device, never confusing you with obtuse menus and functions.
With the base switch set to ‘ON,’ simply tap the fire button five times to activate the device. The small button above the charging port can be used to determine your power output level, and once you’ve decided that, simply press and hold the firing button while inhaling your vapour, letting go of the button once you’re done with each inhale.
The Innokin T22 Pro is intended for MTL use, meaning it takes the ‘thinner,’ PG-centric, and 50/50 vape juices.
When used, you should draw your vapour in the same way you would a cigarette, rather than breathing straight to the lung like you would with an inhaler.
Once you’ve attained satisfaction, simply tap the fire button another five times to put the device in standby mode and save your battery.
For extra assurance in preserving your battery, switch the power setting to ‘OFF’ on the unit’s base.
Battery Life & Charging – 10/10
The T22 Pro can charge from empty to full in less than 3 hours, ensuring you’ll rarely be without your trusty vape.
As mentioned, the Innokin T22 Pro boasts and stunning 3000mAh of internal battery capacity. With a full battery that’s often several days of charge, particularly if you’re vigilant about keeping the device in standby mode between sessions.
But even if you’re caught in the unfortunate situation of having forgotten to charge an empty battery, worry not; the T22 Pro now features a Type C charging port, much faster than the traditional Micro USB, which used to be standard.

Performance – 9.6/10
The Innokin T22 Pro delivers moderate-sized puffs, replicating the cigarette experience very accurately and never producing an anti-social amount of vapour.

The adjustable power setting is quick and responsive. The settings aren’t that far apart, giving you a small spectrum of power to play with to find your personal sweet spot, though you’ll find you can’t whack the power up to an absurdly high wattage. Innokin has made a particular MTL kit and doesn’t intend for you to engage in cloud chasing with it.
The Verdict – Our Best Vape Kit of the Year 2022
The T22 Pro takes the much-beloved vape design and dramatically improves it with a small number of alterations; the improved ergonomics, acrylic drip-tip, sliding top-fill, Type C rapid charging, and wattage alteration are subtle changes that result in a robust, versatile starter kit that is far more than the sum of its parts.
The T22 Pro is doubtless going to become one of the most popular starter kits of the year, and with good reason; Innokin has always excelled at producing streamlined and intuitive vape kits aimed at new vapers and people whose main goal is the reduction and eventual elimination of smoking from their lives.
If you’re looking to walk away from a life of cigarettes, regardless of however many years you’ve spent smoking, you cannot do better than the Innokin T22 Pro. It is not simply a starter kit; it’s a vape that will likely provide you with years of excellent use and help you leave cigarettes behind forever.
