Vape juice is a specially made fluid that is used for vaping. Also known as e-liquids, ejuices, or vapour liquids, these products are ideal for most vape devices and are available in a wide variety of flavours and nicotine strengths.
About 90% of vape juice is made from a combination of PG (Propylene Glycol) and VG (Vegetable Glycerin). These two ingredients make up the base of most e-liquids, to which different types of flavours, additives, and varying strengths of nicotine is added. You can also easily find nicotine-free variants of vape juices as well.
PG (Propylene Glycol) has a thin consistency, more throat hit, and doesn’t affect the vape juice flavour. VG (Vegetable Glycerin) is a much thicker, sweeter liquid that leaves some residue. High VG blends produce thick vape clouds and can impact the flavour of your ejuice.
To pick the right PG/VG ratio, think about your personal vaping preferences. If you like discreet vaping with a solid throat hit and a pure flavour, then you can go for a high PG blend.
However, if you love sub-ohm vaping and blowing tonnes of thick vape clouds, then a high VG vape blend is a better idea. Also, if you use low power or smaller vaporisers, avoid a high VG blend since it may not heat the liquid properly and damage the device. VG can also be easier on the throat, so if you often experience sore throats from vaping, it’s worth trying a higher VG blend of vape juice.
Vape juices come in various categories of nicotine strengths - right from 0mg nicotine-free options, 3mg, 6mg, 12mg all the way to high strength 18 or 24mg variants. Many vapers that have been heavy smokers start off at high strengths and slowly work their way down to low nic strength variants as their nicotine dependency starts reducing over time.
For a smooth transition, we recommend you move up or down by one level at a time instead of a huge jump in nic strength, as that can shock your system.
To change the vape juice flavour in your tank without leaving the taste of your old e-liquid behind, follow the steps below:
Vape juices come in a wide variety of flavours and by several brands. Typically you’ll find a 10ml vape juice bottle costs around £3.99 in the UK. But you can also get budget-friendly deals on larger-sized bottles of your favorite e-liquids, or go for multi-packs - you can get even better discount deals this way. Also, you can check out our vape clearance section for some crazy-good deals on vape juices.
Shortfill vape juices are high VG e-liquid flavours that don’t contain any nicotine. They allow you to either vape nicotine-free or add your desired strength of nicotine shot or nic shot. Shortfill bottles are deliberately ‘underfilled’ since this leaves room for the vaper to add in a nicotine booster shot if needed. Shortfill e-juices come in a wide variety of flavours - from dessert, fruity, menthol to cola, and more.
Yes, there are different types of e-liquids. You have nic salts, bar salts, shortfills, high VG, freebase, MTL vape juice, and 50/50 e-liquids. To learn which one is right for your vape kit, we suggest reading our comprehensive guide on different types of vape juice.
